I have used the following codes,but data is not storing in sql database withing changing the date every time. I want to store multiple data on the same date. Please help....Method obj=new Method(); int r=0; try { Date dateFromDateChooser = jDateChooser1.getDate(); String date = String.format("%1$tY-%1$tm-%1$td", dateFromDateChooser); if (date.equalsIgnoreCase("null-null-null")) { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null,"Select a Date"); return; } System.out.println("second value..."+date); r=obj.insertdb(date, particular, unitPrice, quantity, total, issued_quantity, balanceStock, remarks); System.out.println("r.."+r); if(r>0) { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Saved"); } else { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Not Saved"); } } catch(Exception e) { System.out.println("Message "+ e.getMessage()); } }
*Edited: topic title changed to be at least a bit descriptive

Method obj=new Method();
How are we going to help you figure out your code if we have no idea what sort of thing "obj" might be, or what its insertdb method might do?
What is a Method object and why didn't you call it that, whatever it is?
catch(Exception e)
Don't do this. If you have exceptions that you're trying to catch, catch them and handle them. Also, a try block should never wrap anything more than the danger zone - just a few lines, not the whole method.

"Problem" is a pretty useless title for anyone searching in future (and just in general). It's like me sending an email with the subject "email"This post has been edited by andrewsw: Today, 10:42 AM

Storing dates as strings is not only inefficient but makes manipulation of them difficult. Store them as datetime types
