We have all seen the notable push in recent years for automobile makers to begin producing more vehicles that boast energy efficiency standards. Though the response from buyers hasn?t been overwhelming, many people are beginning to prefer hybrid and electric vehicles. The popularity has even prompted large automakers to heavily invest in research and development for the vehicles and among them, Ford is ready to set the standard.
Currently producing hybrids behind Toyota, Ford is now investing $135 million into an advanced electrification center in Dearborn, Michigan. Essentially, the center is set to have a huge impact on the company?s green development capabilities. This news, along with Ford?s bold move to launch five new hybrid and electric vehicles this year, could set the company as a new authority in efficient automobiles. ??
